VAR’s Career Development Group works closely with members to provide educational opportunities through statewide education conferences, seminars, and sessions that allow members to network and learn through professional development workshops with well-known speakers.

The REALTOR® Institute (GRI) program is offered in a user-friendly modular format which allows members to work toward their GRI designation in one-day modules. Through partnerships with many local associations, members have the most convenient and cost-effective opportunity for education right in their own backyard.
In addition to REALTOR® Institute courses (GRI), VAR sponsors a variety of classes geared for brokers and agents in both residential and special interest areas including including commercial, property management, relocation, international, appraisal and managing brokers. Also, designation courses are offered in partnership with the state chapters of IREM, RLI and CRS.
Another important service offered by VAR is training of ethics instructors, who in turn teach thousands of REALTORS® each year. Regional professional standards seminars are conducted around the state, annually reaching nearly 1,000 members.
Each year, VAR holds a Legislative & Education Conference and a fall Convention. These offer tremendous continuing education opportunities, networking, emerging issues forums, and other member benefits. Put these on your calendar!
