| Q. |
How do I change my address in VAR records? |
| A. |
Member
records are collected and updated by the local boards/associations who
then insert office codes and other local information in the National
REALTOR® Database System (NRDS) before forwarding it to VAR. Call your
local board/association with any changes. If you have additional
questions about your membership information, contact VAR's Membership
Department at (800) 755-8271 or e-mail kim@varealtor.com |
| Q. |
Why haven't I received my Commonwealth magazines? |
| A. |
If
you have recently changed your address, VAR probably does not have your
new or updated record yet. Allow your local board/association 3-4 weeks
to process your information after your orientation or change request,
then 2-3 weeks for VAR to process all the records each board sends. The
new or corrected address will appear on the following month's printing
of labels. If you have additional questions, please contact kim@varealtor.com |
| Q. |
What kinds of committees operate at VAR? |
| A. |
There
are four Advocacy Groups operating within VAR, with many working groups
branching from them that assemble to address specific issues or needs.
They range from topics like standard forms to VAR's website design, and
operate as long as there is a task to do. In addition, VAR has real
estate specialty groups that address specific issues or needs related
to that real estate specialty. |
| Q. |
How can I volunteer for committees or other leadership positions? |
| A. |
Those
who volunteer for REALTOR® Association leadership positions receive
training and the opportunity to influence the direction of their
industry, whether as an Advocacy Group member, working group member,
delegate, or officer. To volunteer you will need to complete VAR
Volunteer Survey form. Click here to complete the form online. |
